LESSON 1 — The Supremacy of the Son

1. God’s Final Revelation

Hebrews contrasts partial revelation (through prophets) with complete revelation (through the Son). Jesus is not merely a messenger—He is the message.

• God spoke in many ways before

• Now He speaks fully and finally through Christ

This establishes the authority of Jesus over all prior revelation.

2. The Deity of Christ

Jesus is described as:

• Heir of all things

• Creator of the universe

• Radiance of God’s glory

• Exact imprint of God’s nature

These are divine attributes, affirming Christ’s full deity, not a lesser being.

3. Christ Above Angels

Angels are servants; Christ is the Son. Hebrews warns against lowering Jesus to any created level.

Theological Emphasis:
Christ is not one among many—He is supreme over all.
